Real Weddings – Georgie & Keenan
Georgie and Keenan were married on 25th March 2017 at Peppers Creek Chapel in the Hunter Valley with a reception afterwards at the Peppers Creek Barrel Room. Georgie picked a stunning strapless, lace gown from the Rosa Clara collection at Peter Trends Bridal. She was such a joy to have in our boutique when she shopped for her gown and follow up appointments. We asked her a few questions about the big day.
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Georgie: We met in High School in 1997, dated for awhile and then went our separate ways but always remained friends. Our stars realigned in 2011.
Peter Trends: How did your husband propose to you?
Georgie: We were away in the Hunter Valley for the weekend with our fur babies and while we were enjoying a wine and cheese platter on the balcony of our loft, Keenan got down on one knee and popped the question.
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Georgie: How do I choose? I would have to say the moment we saw each other when I was walking down the aisle and also the surprise fireworks I put on for Keenan. Keenan’s mum passed away in 2015 just after we got engaged and this was my way of showing Keenan that his mum was a part of our day.
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Georgie: I found it not the best until I came to Peter Trends. The service was amazing and the ladies were so helpful and nothing was too hard. Peter Trends is a shop I recommend to any bride.
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown?
Georgie: I loved that it was everything I ever wanted. The moment I put my dress on I got butterflies and I knew it was the one.
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Georgie: Take in every moment you can. The day goes so fast. Take 5 minutes with your new husband to just sit and watch all your family and friends celebrating your love.
