Real Weddings – Grace & Michael
Grace and Michael were married on 2nd March 2017 and held their ceremony and reception at Flaxton Gardens in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Queensland. Grace chose the Peter Trends Oxfordshire gown and was looked after by our trusted stockist, Gladstone Bridal Boutique. Kershur and the other girls that work at Gladstone are a delight and Grace had a wonderful experience in store. We asked Grace a few questions about her wedding.
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Grace: We met at work. I took a job at Qantaslink at our local airport. Michael was already working there and we instantly hit it off.
How did your husband propose?
Grace: He took me to lunch at Flaxton Gardens. I thought we were meeting our friend for lunch, but it was a surprise proposal. It was in the very same spot that we got married 2 years later.
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Grace: Just knowing how much love there was around us. I also felt the most beautiful that I have ever felt in my life. And to top it off I was marrying my true love.
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Grace: My shopping experience at Gladstone Bridal Boutique was amazing. I just knew it was going to be my gown before I even tried it on. I wish wedding gown shopping never ended!
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding dress?
Grace: I loved every part of my dress. It was so easy to wear and was different to a typical white wedding dress. I seriously never wanted to take it off.
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Grace: Don’t worry about the small stuff. On the day you won’t even notice a lot of things. You are too busy being in love. When picking your gown, follow your heart. You have to wear it all day. Make sure it is what you love, not what someone else wants.
Peter Trends: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day?
Grace: I am from England and a lot of my family could not be there at our wedding. My cousin is a singer and he recorded our first dance song for us. It was so special and it really made it feel like my family were there.
