Ingrid and Nicholas were married on 13 February 2016 at St John’s Church, Camden with a reception afterwards at Camden Town Farm. Ingrid chose a beautiful lace and chiffon gown from the Peter Trends collection and recently answered a few questions for us about her big day.
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Ingrid: Nick and I met at church.
Peter Trends: How did your husband propose to you?
Ingrid: Nick’s proposal was epic! We went to the Art Gallery of NSW in the morning, followed by a trip to Rose Bay. To my utter surprise we went on a flight in a seaplane to a secluded beach where he proposed…crazy!
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Ingrid: Making our vows – such a special moment!
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Ingrid: I felt a little bit like a princess!
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown?
Ingrid: Lace, lace, lace! Well, at least on the bodice. I also adored the soft chiffon skirt – the dress certainly suited a country style wedding.
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Ingrid: Marriage is beautiful! Embrace it – even when it’s challenging. Also, don’t get distracted by the wedding itself – focus on the marriage, it’s the most important bit to get right.
Peter Trends: Is there anything special you would like to share with us about your wedding day?
Ingrid: We felt overwhelmed by the love and support given to us both leading up to and on our wedding day.
