Real Bride Lauren
Lauren and Daisuke were married on 11th March 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Randwick, with a reception afterwards at Wylie’s Baths, Coogee. Lauren chose a soft tulle gown from the Rosa Clara collection with thousands upon thousands of delicate beads throughout.
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Lauren: We met through a mutual friend at a house party. He had asked me out a few times before I said ‘yes.’ I guess persistence pays : )
Peter Trends: How did your husband propose to you?
Lauren: We were holidaying in Positano. He had organised a beautiful private dinner at our villa and got down on one knee over a glass of prosecco with the most amazing view over Positano. He had also organised the chef to take photos of him proposing. It was very romantic!
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Lauren: The amount of happiness in the room! What a wonderful feeling to have lots of people you love in the room, every one of them with a smile on their face. I also loved walking into the reception and seeing our visions come to life. All of the hours of organisation that had gone into the details, seeing the final product and everyone in it, was pretty incredible!
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Lauren: Initially, I hated it! I had tried a few stores and found the service to be disappointing. I was getting pretty tired of the process and had a friend suggest Peter Trends. It was a lovely experience at Peter Trends. The staff were helpful, they listened and were not rushed or pushy like the other stores I had visited. Big shout out to Gabby who was amazing throughout the process. I ended up buying the first one I tried on that day (not without trying on a few more for good measure!)
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown?
Lauren: I loved that the design was simple, yet the beading on the dress was so intricate and detailed. I loved how the beads faded out into soft tulle at the bottom. People were fascinated by the beading as well, they were touching my dress all night!
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Lauren: Take a moment away from the crowds with just your husband. Soak up the atmosphere and have a look around. Just think how lucky you are to have the people you love in one room, just for you.
