Louise & Dane’s Beachside Wedding
Louise and Dane were married on 29th April 2017 at the Terrigal Uniting Church with a reception afterwards at the Avoca Beach Surf Club. Louise looked absolutely stunning in the Casablanca gown from our Emanuella collection, with a mocha coloured bodice, delicate shoestring straps and ivory tulle skirt – it was a perfect fit! We recently asked her a few questions about her wedding day and shopping for a dress.
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Louise: Through mutual friends playing barefoot bowls in Terrigal, NSW. He asked for my number and the rest is history.
Peter Trends: How did your husband propose to you?
Louise: A surprise picnic lunch at Kirribilli under the Harbour Bridge and a surprise weekend in the city.
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Louise: It is so hard to pick a favourite part. The day was perfect but if I had to pick, I would say when Dane read out his own vows to me.
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Louise: At the start I found it a little stressful as I was stressed at the first place I looked and we were rushed. But then I came to Peter Trends and everything about my experience there was amazing. The service, the dresses, the shop were all incredible.
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown?
Louise: That as soon as I put it on I fell in love with it. It was comfy and fitting all in one. It also fit me very well on the day with no alterations.
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Louise: Take in every minute on the day and don’t stress because nothing can be changed.
