Kate & Sam’s Waterfront Wedding by Sydney Harbour
Kate and Sam were married on the balcony of Aqua Dining overlooking Sydney Harbour on the 1st July this year with a reception afterwards in the Aqua Dining restaurant. Kate was glowing in her Peter Trends gown, made from our luxury mikado fabric which she paired with a lace bolero and custom pale blue bow on the waist. Kate stayed true to her vision and put together a truly unique and beautiful look that suited her perfectly. All the details were just stunning from the shoes to her hairpiece, the flowers to the gorgeous flower girls. The wedding venue by Sydney Harbour made for some spectacular views and photos, including the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park by night. Kate has kindly shared some of her wedding day snaps and a few thoughts about her wedding below…….
Peter Trends: How did you meet your husband?
Kate: We met training for a marathon to raise money for the CanToo Foundation and cancer research.
Peter Trends: How did your husband propose to you?
Kate: He put the ring in a tub of Messina gelato. It was delicious (my favourite) and the ring was beautiful!
Peter Trends: What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Kate: Having fun with all my friends and family.
Peter Trends: How did you find the experience of shopping for a wedding gown?
Kate: Overwhelming! Until I found the dress I wanted at Peter Trends and from then on it was smooth and easy!
Peter Trends: What did you love about your wedding gown?
Kate: It was comfortable, a perfect fit and everything matched perfectly (the gown with lace top, with the bow I had made and with my ivory shoes etc)
Peter Trends: Any words of wisdom for future bride?
Kate: Don’t waste time on tiny details – nobody notices anyway! Do the big things that will make you happy on the day.
